Ebony was introduced in 1916 as one of three new colors. Although it was discontinued after a short period, it was reintroduced in 1922 and saw a long production cycle. No photograph is currently available from the 1910s but the color is a solid black for all production periods. In a strong light, thin sections of glass will appear as a dark amethyst. |
